Asking for year 11 study leave

I am just wondering if anyone has ever asked for study leave for year 11 or just kept their child out days during the exams. Dd has been told there is no study leave and they cannot leave until Friday June 21st even though she's got no exams that last week.

All students have to go into revision sessions during May and June. Unfortunately the behaviour is so bad and there are staff shortages so sessions so far this year normally consist of crowd control by the teacher, and that's if there is a teacher in the room. I would rather she revised at home, which she will and I am at home all days to check.

Any ideas appreciated. Her attendance is 99% at the moment.

Unfortunately, DfE have decided that schools shouldn't be allowing study leave as some children that have it don't use it for studying... no shit Sherlock!
Like everything else in schools, because some people choose to misuse it, everyone has to lose the privilege.
