Kent Independent Secondary Schools - for a EHCP child

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for private secondary schools in Kent, for my daughter who suffers terribly from anxiety and has mild dyslexia too. We are currently in London and my daughter is in Y7 at a CofE state school with a EHCP, however the lack of support from the school is extremely frustrating!!. She is supposed to have 20 hours of LSA support per week but is getting about 3 hours. The school keep putting off meeting me and I have told them they must meet with me to discuss why there is one LSA in the class with three EHCP children. Only one of the children is getting all of the attention. My daughter is now so scared and worried about going to school that our G.P has had to refer her to CAMHS again and excused her from school too. I will have no choice but to report the school to our L.A and complain to the governors shortly.
Due to this continued struggle we have decided to pay for her to go to a small private school with teaching support...hence please does anyone know of any good small secondary schools in Kent? . We have been advised to check The Bethany School out in Marden/Goudhurst area. Thank you

You've posted in 'in the doghouse' report your own thread and ask to get it moved - you'll probably get more response!

You've ended up in the wrong topic here, OP. Smile

If you report your thread MN will move it to the right topic.

I have heard good things about Bethany too

We'll move it to secondary now, OP. If it turns out you'd like it moved to your local talk board, just report your post to us and let us know.

I know of friends who have sent their children to Sackville School near Tonbridge and been very happy with it.

Dulwich prep has been recommended for Sen kids too, from a friend who has a daughter there too

Bethany is known to have a good reputation for nurturing Sen children. Sutton Valance might be worth a look too. Are you looking for boarding places?
