St George's Weybridge - bursary post offer?

Our DS has been offered a place at SGC Weybridge. However, we are not able to commit to the fees, certainly not for the duration of his time there, but we did not apply for the bursary by the deadline.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get a bursary after an offer has been made?

There are good state schools in your area. St George's fees are ridiculously high.

Hi

Sadly I think they don’t take well to this. My friend tried after a divorce meant payment was tricky and they weren’t happy at all. She was forced to give up her place

Thank you @llangennith and @Wobbles1 for your helpful comments. We are hoping that DS1 will get a place in one of the highly regarded state schools in the area. We are really wondering if it would be worth the fees at SGC if he does, even if we could find a way to manage it for a year or two. Being unlikely to be able to access the bursary now will sway things a lot further towards the state options, clearly.
