Hampton vs Ibstock Place

Anyone have any advice on Hampton vs Ibstock Place? We have offers for both. Both are lovely can see our DS at either. He is more academic than sporty, but loves his, art, drama, science and music.

Ibstock is very close, but there is a school bus to Hampton close by too.

Thanks will do she's in year 5 now so will be doing the exam in January. I couldn't find the sample test online maybe I misunderstood.

@nerbek I wonder if you wouldn’t mind updating this post. Are you happy with IPS? DS Has an offer and we need to choose.

We are also considering IPS over several other offers. Would be interesting to find out how those who chose Ibstock are getting on?

My DS is in year 7 at IPS and is very happy. He is enjoying it and has made friends, is on the sports team (this was important for him), and generally it has been a good fit. Good selection of co curricular too other than sport. Some posters remark on homework, but I don't notice it as being excessive. Some evenings none and some an hour. Doesn't differ much from older DS when he was at a different school in same year. Happy to answer specific questions if you want to pm me.

Could anyone with a sporty girl please tell me a bit more about Sports at IPS? I have looked at the website but I would
value another parent's views. Other than the timetabled PE or Games lessons, do they have sports clubs only during the lunch break or also before / after school? Have you been impressed by the PE department or are there any issues you aren't so happy about. Is there such a thing as Saturday Sports at IPS? Many thanks in advance for your help!
