Hi there, has anyone had experience of the Kew House School waitlist? I know it is oversubscribed by some way this year, but hoping to hear from anyone who ended up getting a place or not last year? Thanks

My son (now year 8) was waitlisted (he had offers from 3 other schools but we all thought KHS with its longer lessons and pastoral care/modern approach and premises would be the best place for him) - the head of his primary school called up the Kew House HM and emphasised how good a fit she thought DS1 would be for the school and vice versa. I dont know if that helped but he was offered a place about a week later. You only get 3 days to accept the offer and we had accepted somewhere else which we lost the deposit on but decided to send him to KHS. He's happy there and its a good school with excellent pastoral care so we're really happy. Feel free to message me and good luck.

I would think you’re in a relatively strong position if you’re on the waitlist.
Personally I think that Kew House is such a lovely school, but I think for a lot of people it’s their backup option while they wait to hear from others.
Given that a lot of people apply for 5 or 6 different schools, I would expect there to be a lot of movement over the next few weeks.
Good luck!

I know at least one family who will be turning Kew down on next week having got their preferred school so hopefully you will find the list starting to shift. Fingers crossed.

Hello,
We were put on the waitlist and sadly yesterday we were told they are not offering any more places.
