Hi guys Im now to this forum but desp seeking advice/assistance.
My son has just been offered a place at BC lower school Y7 - he's super sporty and has not been offered a scholarship or bursary of any sort. We are a bit disheartened as it is amazing he has got offered a place but realistically we can not do it without any financial support. anyone got any advice/experience of this ?

Why don't you have a look at Lancing College Prep in Hove? It's a much smaller school and you'd have a better chance of a scholarship/bursary I think. It's an amazing, well rounded school

Difficult to get a bursary if you are a late applicant to a school which you will be at most now. Some schools have a bursary pot so when it's gone it's gone. Others it's purely on need. Other children did better at the exams/sports assessments or have a greater financial need. Did you get bursary places at other schools? Scholarships are only worth typically 5-10% which really doesn't make a huge impact on fees.
