Lewisham Sixth Form

We are moving to Lewisham with our two daughters and likely to be within the catchment for Prendergast Hilly Fields. We have viewed the school and it looks great and obviously gets good results.
A couple of people have mentioned that the girls have moved on for sixth form possibly for different courses and I wonder what admissions - have no sense of the procedures - are like - eg. Are you likely to get into Habers sixth form from them and a couple of others have gone to Thomas Thalis. None of my friends have children that old so wisdom helpful

Hi
I don't know much about admissions process but my neighbour teaches at this school and all her daughters have been. It's a good school.
If you haven't looked already, I'd recommend Thomas Tallis 6th form which you might get into. My neighbour's youngest is going to Tallis for 6th form from Prendergast. It has recently received outstanding for its 6th form. My children go to Tallis and I can highly recommend it. The outcomes they achieve from 6th form are brilliant, a much wider curriculum and much less cossetted than other 6th forms.

If you're moving to be close enough to guarantee entry to Prendergast, you'll be very close indeed! The school has its own sixth form which is expanding but not all the girls who go on to do A-levels will stay there. Some will go to Lewisham College, others to CTK, to Haberdasher Askes, Tallis or further afield to the grammar schools.

Yes very close indeed - not looking to be over 500 m away
