Hello.

Can anyone recommend the best home tutoring 11+ verbal, non-verbal, maths and english practise books please?

If there is a website you'd recommend, then please do let me know.

We found all the publishers quite different, not only in question type but particularly in difficulty. So I would recommend getting a selection - eg Bond, Letts, GL etc - so your DC can tackle anything thrown at them (though it's still worth finding out who sets the tests in your area). I also suggest visiting the elevenplusexams website, as their forum has got loads of advice about specific regions.

Look at the 11 plus forum. They will list resources according to the school(s) you are going for.

Also, go to the websites of any schools you're looking at and see if they have any past papers on there for your DC to practice on. We did this and today DS1 sat his 11+ for one school and got a question directly off a paper from another school he's sitting the exam for! There is literally no better practice than the past papers of that exact school (as they vary quite a bit if you take a look).
