Calling noblegiraffe or other Maths teachers!

Can you guide me towards some practice questions / papers for dc to work through over the next few months.... Edexcel A Level, the spec with two pure papers and one stats/mechanics paper if that helps.

Grateful thanks for suggestions.

It’s tricky because there are loads of resources out there but arranged by old A-level modules so you have to filter out the irrelevant stuff.

This is exactly what you need for the new A-level mathsgenie.co.uk/newalevel.html

If there are topics that he knows he is shaky on then he should be able to find loads of resources here www.physicsandmathstutor.com/maths-revision/ but they might take a bit of looking for.

Exactly what noblegiraffe said!

by dc is doing ocr(a) maths.Apparently it is a new stllabus this year- but will the syllabusl have really changed in any significant way?

MarchingFrogs · 19/12/2018 07:46

The A/AS syllabus changed for first teaching from the academic year 2017/8, following on from the first cohort sitting the new GCSE 9-1 in Maths in the summer of 2017.

So the first cohort sitting the new spec were those who did A level Maths in one year, sitting last summer.

AFAIK, there have been no further changes, but DD, our current year 13, isnt taking Maths A level.

Hi there. Try crashmaths. crashmaths.com/a-level-practice-papers/

They are limited in what they provide at the moment but more is coming all the time. They are quite challenging which is good. Apart from that, there is so little content at the moment (I have had such a hard time writing mocks for Maths and Further Maths), but agree with Noble - maths genie and physicians maths tutor.
