Secondaries in Poole

We consider moving to the Poole area and are looking for a good secondary for DS (currently year 4). We really like the housing stock around Parkstone - what secondary schools do kids go to from around there? Grammar is not an option as DS is not very academic. He has an ASD diagnosis but is coping well at his mainstream primary. Ideally I would like a nurturing school with small class sizes and not to pressurised (one can dream). Thank you

To get the type of school you want in/near Poole, you will have to go private.

Thank you. Are there any private schools you can recommend?
What are the state secondaries like?

My DD is at Poole High and I can not praise it enough, teachers are caring and well aware of the individual. The school is very large but the teachers are aware of every child and have been proactive when DD's behaviour has not met their expectations.

Thank you. I just had a look at it and it sounds like a decent school.

@Puffthemagicdragongoestobed, wondering if you made the move to Poole? We are considering it too, and I am also looking for a nurturing secondary for our ASD boy. Would love to hear about your experience and where your son ended up going, and how he is doing?
