Channing school 11+ interview

Hi all,

My daughter has to give do an interview with Channing School for 11+ soon. Does anyone know what type of questions they ask in the interview and what else are they looking to find in a student looking for admission?

As this is the first year of the new exam, the interview will also be different. My understanding is that they are looking to get ‘past’ the over tutored girl, they are looking for potential, engagement and enthusiasm for the world around them, they are not interested in coached interview style answers. You can expect a fair bit of the one to one interview be a discussion of a girls interests, as provided by the primary school report, which will apparently be given a greater emphasis under their new system.

No, it won’t be that type of interview. They are looking for a breadth of interests and enthusiasm for them. They definitely don’t want her to trot out prepared answers.
