Hampton boys 10+ nov 2018

I hope all the parents and DC’s are feeling a bit relaxed after sitting the 10 plus Hampton paper this weekend. Just thought I will open a new thread so we could connect with each other about any updates and progress in the selection in the coming weeks. What did the boys think of the test?

I posted on the previous thread. DS found the maths harder than the English, which was surprising as maths is normally his strong subject. How did your DS find it?

I'll guess we'll know soon enough as they will let successful boys know about the interviews soon. I assume all results are posted after that?

With c250 boys taking the exam, definitely not holding out much hope!

I just noticed the previous thread.
My DS has exactly the same sentiments. He is strong in Maths and was a little upset as he couldn’t complete all the questions in time. Were they meant to ?? Comprehension was hard and he found the questions a little more challenging than what he had expected. Essay was fairly good in his opinion. Big pat on the back to all the boys who attempted this assessment. Can’t believe there were 250 boys.🙈

With only c30 places on offer , i can only assume the paper really tested the boys. Fingers crossed for your DS. I think from previous threads they give scores (hopefully for each paper), which will be useful Best of luck!
