Hi,

DS is taking the ISEB pre test for 11+ entry. I could find hardly any info online. Does anybody know how many questions there are in each of the four sections?

Many thanks in advance,
Deborah

There are no max number of questions in each section. The questions are adaptive; which means the difficulty level of the questions will change depending on how your DS answers.

Each section will have a score and there is an overall score.

I believe the scores are weighted to reflect the difficulty levels.

Different schools have different cut off scores of their potential candidates.

Thanks a lot!

I was wondering what adaptive meant. Given this it is even more useful for DS to know what to expect.

In reality I have never seen any children do different English, NVR and VR questions, but the Maths I have seen proof it is adaptative based on watching a bright and less bright child do it sat next to each other!

Planet Bofa has good ISEB style practice tests.
