Any Year 7 maths teachers there?

Just wondering what papers you use for your year 7 streaming?

Ones we wrote ourselves, with one eye on KS2 SATs scores.

You don’t use aqa or cats?

We use the PIMS test. Not brilliant but gives a baseline.

Used aqas but tbh look at sats and their first assessment with us after being taught for 7 weeks. The baseline is only used as another piece of evidence, not the be all and end all.

Ours were set on their averages sats score this year..... What a ridiculous idea!

We use our own tests. We do also look at their CAT scores as an extra bit of evidence but they’re definitely not set based on these.
