King Edward Grammar or Colchester Royal Grammar(Essex)

Got Ds's 11+ results for Essex this week. We live between the above two grammar schools - commuting time from ours to KEGS and CRGS is about the same. Happy to say, Ds did extremely well and would get into any of these schools. The challenge we have now is which one to make our first choice. Views from fellow mum-netters who know about these schools will be very much appreciated. Need your help...Thank you.

Which one is easier for him to get to independently? I’d pick the one with the easiest bus or train route to facilitate his social life. Sounds as though he’ll do well anywhere.

I only know CRGS well so cannot compare.
