Recycled sculpture that doesn't look like Year R junk model

Y7 has to make a sculpture from recycled materials. All our ideas will actually look like a 4 year old did them😁. Any thoughts?

Thanks, although it was the looking on pinterest in the first place that led to our conclusion!

Desk tidy type thing using cardboard tubes, yogurt pots etc. A useful sculpture.

I would go aspirational with woven strips of plastic bag plaited into... something or other. Extra marks if you can make it somehow reflect the death grip of said bags on wildlife.

But then I have a LOT of reused plastic bags under my sink.

Look for metal garden scultures/wildlife scarers/water sprinklers etc - they could be the basis of some good inspiration.

Also - recently saw a sweet metal robot that was made out of old metal bits and bobs. Whilst it wasn't massively sophisticated, it was a fairly simple basic shape, very retro feel, the choice of the decorations and dials and so on meant it was able to look beyond the capability of a year R student! Amongst other things they had used the parts from an old computer that they repurposed, lots of possibilities for good adornments to the robot (or indeed whatever else your ds makes!)
