parent teacher communication

Hi all,

My DD is in her first year of middle school. Now we have several teachers for various classes. I'm just wondering what method of parent teacher communication do you have at your school with so many different teachers and classes? Before we would get a weekly newsletter from the one homeroom teacher but that was primary.

Specifically I'm interested in knowing what they will be studying that term. My DD is not always keen to share! Age, hormones, but that's a different thread :)

Many thanks.

Schools vary so much, it's impossible to know.
A weekly newsletter is a lot more than lots of schools will produce!

Our secondary used to provide a curriculum booklet per year group. But thinking about it I haven't seen one for this year. May have got all turned upside down by new curriculum.

Have you looked on the website? Where I used to work we put schemes of work on there.

Or you could email form tutor and ask them to contact individual teachers... Don't hold your breath tho. When's parents ts'

We were given a curriculum booklet at the start of year, then teachers would email if specific issues.
