Habs boys 13+ : costs apart of Fees

Hi there.

Goal:
I intend to try admission to HabsBoys 13+ for my son.

Facts:
My son is a a bright boy and we , the parents, are not very happy with the public school although it's a London "outstanding" one.
We did live till my kid was year 6 abroad, where he attended a very good school where he was a high achiever.
I am a lone parent of two , kinda "working class" .

Question:

  1. What are the chances to be admitted if we are not kinda "posh" ... and not even British born .
  2. Can anybody who knows tell me what would be the costs apart of fees (I hope to get a bursary) like coach (its 2000 pounds/year this one), extracurricular activities , uniforms, trips?
  3. What chances they are to pass the examination knowing that the boy didn't take any special tutor learning for the exams?

Thanks

The bus, or coach as they like to call it, was £36 a week when one of mine got a scholarship ... that was enough not to send him there.
