Hi,
We are moving to Exeter and would love to hear from anyone who is happy or can comment on any of these secondary schools in Exeter!

St James
St Peters
St Lukes
Isca
St Clyst
Kings ( Ottery St Mary )

Thank you so much! Nicki

Kings has a great reputation but is obviously not in Exeter. Are you considering living in Ottery area if you're thinking about Kings? Friends with children there speak highly of it.

I don't know too much about the others I'm afraid.

I replied to another of these a couple of weeks ago...
I have worked in 4 of them. My favourite is definitely Kings and it probably has the best reputation.

If you need to be in Exeter, although it doesn't always look good in the league tables, St James has a happy and friendly vibe. There are a number of families there who are new to the area as it is near the university and they are very inclusive. I would avoid St Luke's like the plague. St Peter's has changed massively since I worked here and I don't know much about Isca. I looked around Clyst Vale some years ago and was utterly underwhelmed. My kids went to a feeder school for it, but we discounted it as I did not rate it.

For context, I live outside Exeter and teach in East Devon, mostly at secondary level. My kids are now in y13 and uni.
