Latin /classical studies

My daughter will be in year 8 , she didn’t do very well in her end of year Latin test so has been told that she’ll be studying classical studies , is Latin really important for GCSE

If it’s not one of her best subjects then definitely don’t take it. It’s a lovely subject if you’re good at it but it sounds like she’s better at other things? Stick with what she’s good at and enjoys the most :) she could always look into classics a level later on if she’s interested in that period of history - it it a popular option for students both with or without Latin
