Is there a better alternative to Clifton college for secondary school for a year 8 rugby boy

Feeling rather frustrated with Clifton college approach to class room teaching in year 8 but my son is socially happy and loves sports. Rugby in particular. Any alternative better schools in Bristol for boys? Help

It depends what you would consider "better" to be honest.
The following alternative independent schools in Bristol are options for boys: Co-ed Bristol grammar school and Clifton High school, all-boys QEH. It's a question of balancing the academic side vs sport for each option.
If you are prepared to travel a bit, there are further options in Bath such as King Edwards which would be possible from Bristol.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Catslife, BGS have no places, he thinks Clifton high sports are not great. Perhaps we could get him to look around QEH.

King Endwards and Kingswood in both both sound quite good, it would be an early start to get from Clifton each morning. Perhaps flexi boarding maybe worth considering but I will feel so guilty if I got him to board at 12. Although I know people who loved their boarding experience as you people.
