Won't get results until September!

Ds was expecting results for an AS and an EPQ. At the last minute got a place on a residential course this week. It was too late to organise email or postal results with the school, so they arranged for a friend to collect ds's results when he collected his own.

Friend didn't go to collect his results. So now ds won't know his own results until school starts again.

It's not a big deal, because nothing rests on these results, but it's very, very frustrating!

Why didn't ds arrange for me to collect his results?

Can you email head of sixth form? He/she is bound to be in school or at least checking emails over the next couple of days, so you might be able to find out that way?

Leeds2 · 16/08/2018 23:21

Surely something can be arranged? Would drive me to distraction!!

JellySlice · 16/08/2018 23:21

No. Well, I could try, but I won't. Ds made this arrangement and has to deal with the consequences. It's not critical, so I'm not going to intervene. I mustn't be one who always sorts out his mistakes.

But I want to knooooooow

Have you got a parent portal or some such? It might have been uploaded there?

Sailingninja · 17/08/2018 16:33

The school should be open on Thursday 23rd for GCSE results. Alternatively if your Ds e mails the examination officer they should e mail them out.

JellySlice · 17/08/2018 17:12

Ah! Good idea about GCSE results day! I'll...mention it to ds in passing.

Dd has done the same.

At our school any results not collected on Thursday are posted home on Friday. They may yet arrive in the mail.
