Algebra

I'm looking for a book to explain algebra to DD who has just finished Y7. I can't remember anything but very simple calculations in my cse exams so am struggling to explain anything beyond the basics.
If anyone could recommend books etc... Thanks

The Khan academy videos are pretty good. Also the Letts or CGP revision guides for KS3, but they cover everything, not just algebra. Also with maths your dd will only really learn by giving it a go rather than just watching or reading about it.

There is an app called dragonbox which is great for understanding the concepts in algebra - done through a game. My kids have learned well from it..
