Howells school Cardiff

Anybody got personal experience? Early days as Dd is only just going to Yr 5 in September but considering private as an option for Yr 7 and if we go down that route I need to look in to how we prepare (entrance exam wise and financial). If we do go private I'd look for good balance of academic achievement and pastoral care. Also a school that would encourage and develop her art (she has a particular talent for art). Howells appeals on paper but personal views would be good if anyone has any?

I am looking around schools for my Dd, any previous experience of the Howell's school and advice would be gratefully received.

Everyone is saying it has got a great reputation but keep recommending other schools?
