Went to DD1's Parents Evening Last Night.............................................

She started secondary in Sept so is year 7.
I am still in shock, every subject teacher said she was a pleasure to teach, always done homework, presentation was excellent, Above average in all subjects.
Head of house said she was prefect material and her German teacher said she will be chosen for a German trip next year

I can't believe just how well she is doing, especially as she is pretty different at home ie: loud, mouthy, stroppy, typical pre teen

Just wanted to come on and boast

Of course dh thinks she's like him but I i know she's like her mum

Our ds also started in Sept last year, but his (annual) parents evening was in the November, when he was being a lazy arse and so there was lots of negative feedback.

Got his Orders yesterday (those come out every six weeks and say how he's doing on attainment and effort) and they were really good, compared with when he started.

It's lovely, isn't it to know that they can put in the effort.
