DSis has just found out that the appeal hearing for DNephew has been cancelled due to a panel member's availability.
They are down for attending transition week at the school they don't want to attend in early July. If they don't get a new date for the appeal next week (and the outcome by the end of the week) they will have to go to the transition events at a school they might not be going to. Any advice?

My LA is running multiple appeals on pretty much every day at the moment, it would be impossible for all of them to be pulled earlier, there just aren't the panelists (or trained clerks) to run many simultaneously. I know my LA has really struggled to get everything covered this year as we seem to have had an unprecedented number of secondary appeals and I've has a couple of emergency emails for last minute dropouts too.

I appreciate your sisters predicament, it's clearly a stressful process for the appealants. Fingers crossed it gets reorganise asap.

Thanks to everyone for their advice. I'm telling sis to focus on the key points of the appeal which will either be successful or won't. Could do without this distraction though. I'm sure the school and the panel feel the same.
