Yarm School

Does anyone have any experience of Yarm School please, in particular students from a non-wealthy background?

Do you particularly want private? The state secondary Egglescliffe which is just down the road gets amazing results

Thanks innkeeper we're quite some distance from Yarm/Eaglescliffe - but within the coach service area for Yarm. I didn't envisage private at all for her, school put her forward and she did so well on her entrance assessments that she's been offered a very significant bursary/scholarship. However, I am far from the typical independent school parent and I just worry that she's going to stick out like a sore thumb

It's a real mixture of income levels. I'm sure she would be fine.

A friend's boy started September. They too are not a typical independent school parent. By all accounts he has settled well. He seems to be involved in lots of extra curricular activities.
