boarding school assessment days - wycombe/Downe

Can anyone shed some light on what is assessed on assessment days at Wycombe Abbey or Downe House, other than English and Maths, vr/nvr ect. many thanks

A lot of things that can’t be tutored. Your daughter’s personality, how she copes with change and situations outside her comfort zone, how social she is, does she show an interest in certain subjects and generally whether she is suited for boarding.

Your daughter should just be herself.

Thanks Zodlebud, that's a relief! Tutoring to the nth degree is just madness, I'm glad there is a human element to the process.

My DD did assessment for Downe House many years ago. They did swimming, games, working together to solve puzzles as well as academic stuff. DD enjoyed it.
