Stage 2 of a secondary school appeal

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any advice. If at Stage 1 of a secondary school appeal the panel agrees to admit more students but to be decided after Stage 2. Can capacity be challenged further or do you have to draw a line underneath that and focus on the other components of your appeal. Thank you in advance.

The appeal panel will not be happy if you introduce additional evidence or arguments about capacity at this stage. If you do they have to go back and reconsider their stage 1 decision. Some panels won't allow you to introduce anything further about capacity, although personally I think they are wrong to do so - parents are not experts in appeal procedures.

The panel has decided that the school has room for some additional pupils but can't cope with all of the appellants. Your focus now should be on the arguments that your child needs to be at this school.

Thanks, I thought that would most likely be the case.
