Our DD will be sitting for entrance exams for both GHS & FH in January 2019 for her 11+
she has visited both the schools and have fallen in love with GHS.
We live in Camberley, hence the worry is commuting to GHS everyday.
where as FH is just so near for us that commuting is not an issue at all

Is it worth all the travelling if she gets into GHS.?? Are the any parents whose DD is currently travelling to GHS from Camberley / Frimley area

Any suggestions or advice are welcome as we as parents are genuinely confused
Thanks

I'd wait and see what happens in January tbh. Camberley is definitely one of the outer edges of commuting to GHS, not particularly on absolute distance but ease of travel as the trains aren't great from there and it's quite a schlep by car.

Hi, my daughter goes to GHS and we live near Camberley. She travels from Blackwater station every day and it works well. The journey is usually fine. All year 7 girls are also given a train buddy at the start of the year to help them get used to the commute. If the trains aren't running for any reason, there are alternative routes to Guildford from Ash Vale and Ash stations. On the other hand we know lots of girls at Farnborough Hill who are very happy.
