Mums, what're the best/worst stories you've heard about your kid's secondary school?

I'm just interested to find out if the school I work at is just like all the rest, and to get the gossip of what other schools are doing well and badly! Horror stories and heartwarming ones too, please! x

Self harm and eating disorders are rampant but they get great results How is this a great result?

Worst: drugs, unprotected sex, nude photos doing the rounds on phones

Best: good GCSEs & A level results, DofE, musical productions, fundraising for local causes, Young Enterprise, sports achievements

Its going to be all the usual stuff for everyone I expect. Some kids fly, others don't, some get into all sorts of trouble, others excel!

I guess what I meant was rather than expected or everyday stories, I'm looking to hear those ones where teachers have gone above and beyond or have broken the rules entirely. Both of which have happened to my school in the past three months.
