anyone know how late you can apply for extra time for GCSEs - and other special provision?

DD has this for her ADHD and processing skills... which is really helpful.... a friend is in the process of getting a diagnosis.... Any idea how late one can apply for 1. extra time 2. other things, like working in the "quiet room" alongside other pupils..... GCSEs start for them latish May.... She seems to think it is too late, but Im wondering.....and hoping she might be wrong...

The official deadline was 21st February but late applications can be accepted if there are valid reasons. Your friend may be unsuccessful though as access arrangements have to be the usual way of working and there is limited time for this to now happen and for the SENCO to be able to paint a picture of need. Late applications are usually for medical reasons in my experience such as broken arm or glandular fever, etc
