Just been offered Charterhouse

Our DS has just been offered a place here on a sports scholarship. We're very last minute and haven't even looked round the school properly let alone the houses. He's academically 'ok' and obviously passed the CE (although they did say he struggled with Maths and Science).

Can anyone give me some guidance on this school - preferably someone who's child is there or has been. It's VERY expensive compared to the day school he's at so trying to understand whether it's worth almost 3 times the amount.

Confused He's passed CE already? but CE is usually takes place in June. Do you mean he's been made a conditional offer?

Hi - no, we're late aaplicants for for year 9 2018 so he sat it recently!

Assuming he’s not into rugby (they only do soccer, bit of hockey, cricket of course, and rowing), what guidance are you looking for?

Year 9 2018 entry sit CE in June 2018: OP must mean Charterhouse's own exam for non-CE candidates.

I think the best way to find out more will be by requesting a visit (including your DS) on an ordinary school day.

We are obviously going to see it. I just came on here in case people had their own children there and were happy to pass on their thoughts. As for exams, he sat English, Maths, Science - not that it really matters.
