Hi wobbly,

Us! DS2 is starting J bugs in September.

DS1 is in first form at the moment (having also started in J bugs) so if you have any questions, fire away and I might be able to answer some.

We're not near Merton but I'm sure there will be plenty of other boys also travelling in by tram on that route.

Hi Meetie

How your DS find first form?

Apart from the blazer and games kit does anything else need to be purchased from Hewitt’s?

Do they need a lab coat?

Thanks

DS is really enjoying first form. He goes in and comes out happy.

The new boys seemed to find their feet and fit in very easily - the form tutors seem very on top of that to make sure they are OK.

The homework schedule has been changed a bit, so there’s a bit less to do, which has made a difference. DS1 seems to like all his teachers, and as one senior teacher said recently to me, T is an “uncommonly nice school”, which I wholeheartedly agree with.

Yes, I think just the blazer and sports kit (and tie) from Hewitts. And possibly a jumper, if you wanted one, although they can wear plain grey instead of one with the badge. Shirts & trousers etc can come from anywhere. Trousers seem mainly to be black rather than grey. And yes, they will need a lab coat.

Hi Wobblypig,

I'm glad you asked this. We also live on the tram line in Wimbledon and I am considering Trinity for my son (Y4 at the moment). I seem to see a lot more Whitgift boys than Trinity boys in our area which might imply the journey is a bit easier. Shame because on paper I prefer Trinity! Did you manage to find out if many boys are travelling to Trinity from Wimbledon?

@TulipCat - also in Wimbledon. DS1 and DS2 are at school in Wimbledon but know quite a few boys who've gone to Whitfield. Can't think of any boys on our social network who've gone to Trinity and live in Wimbledon but know that some do. I think the preference for Whitgift is that it's just that bit closer - though for us it felt too far.
