Generalized Learning Difficulties ..school search

My DS 12 in prep school, has been diagnosed with “generalized learning “ difficulties and is about 3 years behind peer group. Am having a nightmare finding a suitable school in London or surrounds .There seem plenty of providers for a specific LDs such as Dyslexia and Dyspraxia but nothing for generalized.

Has anyone cracked this one ? Would love some help

Sorry. I can't help with London School ideas but does she have to be in a MLD school or can she stay in mainstream with good support?

Depends where you are. Canbury in Kingston, Riverston Eltham or Egerton Rothesay Berkhampsted may be worth a look.

Egerton Rothersay in Berkhamsted.

Try The Moat in Fulham. Specialises in SpLDs but takes many children with other related-type difficulties.

When you say your son is 3 years behind his peers. Is this 3 years behind his peers at an academic London prep or generally 3 years behind. Do you think he is on course to pass 5 GCSE,s? Are you looking for a non selective or less selective mainstream indie or won’t he cope with that?

If your Ds is in the above category maybe Clarecourt Maidenhead. Sherradswood Welwyn, Milton Abbey for boarding, Mount House near Enfield.there must be more

Did you find a suitable school for your DS Kemiad? I'm looking for a similar school for my DD.
