Parents evening

Dd's parents evening is soon.

Do you book appointments for all subjects or just the ones that are important to you? I don't want to be rude but I'm not particularly worried about seeing her food tech or art teacher. We are limited with times due to working late. Will the teachers think we are shit for not seeing them all?

Must be that time of year!

I think you will find these recent threads helpful:

At DD's school they say quite clearly that there is no need to see each teacher. I think they get a bit tired of saying 'everythings fine', and parents not having actual questions to ask because, well, everything's fine.

I usually try to see the teachers for the main subjects and then any where the child is either struggling or has a particular interest.

So for DD I won't be making appointments to see the teachers for food tech, DT, RE, or PDE. On the other hand she has asked if we can see her music, art and drama teachers.
