We are to move houses depending upon our Dd Secondary school. She has an offer from Sir William Perkins and St Catherine’s Bramley? Any updates on the two schools would be appreciated?

Don't you need to accept the offer by Monday? Not much time. I think I'd choose where I wanted to live and then look at the accessibility. Where do you live now?

Sorry I can't advise but thought I'd say hello as we are joining SWPS.

Caddyshack · 02/03/2018 17:58

I'll say hi as well, my daughter is joining at SWPS too!

SwimmingMom · 02/03/2018 18:25

Hi Caddy, Just filled out the form today & going to post tomorrow. Nice to hear you are joining too!

We are based in Hampton now, but happy to move. Was in a turmoil over the two schoools.

Hi Momina, isn't it easier to stay in Hampton & do SWPS? You can use the bus & move closer at a later date if needed.

What about work commute?

I agree with Swimmingmom. Unless you are wanting to move further out of London, why not do SWPS and then you can still move further out into Surrey if you wish. SWPS more down to earth than St Catherines. There are boarders at St Catherine's so some overseas/London based girls. Academically your DD can do well at both- depends where you think she will feel happier.

Thanks ladies. I hope to decide by this evening, else I will have to flip a coin and pick a school tomorrow!

SWPS is quite easy from hampton on the school bus...

Tessermee · 04/03/2018 09:43

From a purely anecdotal point of view I have heard nothing but positive things from SWPS parents and (former) teachers but a real mixed bag from St Cats (both from parents and former teachers). Both are excellent schools with a lot to offer.
Personally I would write a pro and con list and then go with gut feel.

Does your DD not have a preference?
