For the straight through schools, St G and Ibstock, Y7 is just another year and parents only have to give one terms notice if they intend moving their children. So there could be late movement there as both attract overseas parents especially Ibstock.
There will be a lot of WL movement over the next few weeks. This happens every year and places do come up but it doesn't stop it being really crap for you at the moment. Sorry you are having a tough time.

Having been in your position two years ago, the wait list offers came through 2 days after the state school offers. I was on the phone to our favourite school the day before letting them know we would accept a place immediately if offered. I did sound desperate on the phone to them (because I was!) but they said they could call back the next day. And they did, with an offer.

I also know a dc who got the offer literally the day before school was due to start.

Hang on in there, and good luck.

PS should have said my experience was not with your specific schools but London day schools, but expect wait lists will move for your schools.

We were high on the waiting list for Emmanuel three years ago. I'm afraid the list didn't move that year at all. The Registrar was really helpful and nice. In the beginning she was very encouraging, but as the acceptances rolled in it became apparent that more people were accepting than they'd expected. They took none from WL that year.

Its really changeable - best advice is to phone the schools, each week, to have the most up to date info. Ibstock might move more as it's a more International School so more comings and goings. You may find places come up mid year when people move. Don't know much about the other two schools.

Am sure wait lists will begin to move from Tuesday next week... by then the state school offers will have been digested and indie offers accepted or lost. Have just given back 2 offers from schools on your list, so hopefully movement may start sooner than that. Good luck!
