AQA PAST PAPERS

DD (yr12) has finished AS syllabuses now iand is strating to focus on past papers.
Why do AQA not post past papers, and answers online like the other boards?
DSIL is a chemistry reacher- would she have a login to print them off do you think, and is there a charge?

AQA do post a couple of past papers and mark schemes - remember these are before the syllabus change so they might have significant differences. Here is the link to the biology one but the others should be there as well. www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/science/gcse/biology-4401/past-papers-and-mark-schemes

There are past papers for every subject on the AQA website.
Your SIL would be quite unreasonable tomprint off any on the secured area, your DS’s school are probably keeping them for mocks/ end of year exams.
Has he actually tried talking to his teachers about this?

If she is on a 'reformed' A level than there will be very few specimen papers. I taught AQA A level English Literature with one specimen paper for AS and one for A level for the whole two year course. It wasn't good enough, and teachers were complaining vociferously. Now we have two years' AS papers and last summer's A level paper, too.

Your SIL should not print them off AQA secure key materials, as your DD's school will be wanting to use them for mocks. Printing off old spec papers will not be helpful and may, indeed, be harmful, as the specifications have changed so much.

For new specs there will only be one set of past papers as there has only been one AS exam. As other teachers here have said that will not be available to pupils as the most recent paper is kept on the secure area for use in mocks. As a teacher I would be very annoyed to find out that one of my pupils had got hold of it.

It's NOT that AQA are withholding past papers - there simply are none (except the secure one) as it is a new spec.

Willow, my subject was one of the first to be changed, so we actually have the 2017 A level paper and the 2016 and 2017 AS papers. Whoopee do Angry. Otherwise, I agree with everything you have written.
