St Dustans (Carford) and Sydenham Girls (State school)

My daughter received an offer from St Dunstans last Friday. She is also very likely to get her first state choice which is Sydenham School as we live within a mile of the school. DD is sportive, creative and hard worker, top sets. We can pay private but can also save the money for university, house deposite, etc.

I know they are both very different schools and I would be grateful for opinions from parents with children at both schools to help make our decision. We have a younger son who is in year 4 but not sure we should take this into account in our decision. You can pm if you prefer.

If you can afford it, then definitely St D's. If you can't, Sydenham Girls is a solid back up that is seemingly getting better year on year

I have visited both schools you mention. I loved them both. If money is not a problem then probably St Dunstans, and that would be because of the great art and drama facilities, swimming pool etc! Also small(ish) and co-ed.

However I did also really like Sydenham girls, like the Head, and of course it seems as if they have had a big cash injection so facilities look good.
Did you DD have a preference?

Thank you. DD prefers St Dustans because she feels the art department is better there so we are leaning towards it after both opinions here.
