Hi
I am a mature student about to sit gcse maths in June!! 5 weeks away. I am doing the intermediate paper. I am hoping someone can recommend a good book which explains maths. I have gcse ingtermediate mathematics by David Rayner which my teacher has been using. It is fine in class as the teacher explains it better. I need something with full explanations now.
If they did a "gcse maths for dummies" then that would be great for me.
Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

My dd1 is doing her gcse's this year. Her teacher recommended the Letts books, they do a specific revision book which she likes. I would go into your whsmiths they do loads of different gcse maths books, check what exam board you are doing first, and then see what suits you. Also her teacher recommends the BBC bitesize website, apparently its quite good, gives practice questions etc. Good luck!

My daughters scholl recommend the CGP books. I know my eldest daughter found thes much better then the Letts books.

Another vote for the CGP books - they are very clear.
