Hi , my daughter is 15 , in S4. She is suffering with severe anxiety and has opted for a Nat 4 - level 5 college - level 6 college - HNC route. I support this. But I’m curious to know how applications work. She is a September baby so I believe she can leave in June ? But how does she apply for a college course requiring Nat 4s if she is still achieving them ? How do conditional offers work ? Is it a guaranteed place ? Sorry if this is the wrong board will

You should post in the Scotsnet topic - there will be people there who I'm sure can advise.

Ds is academic so I've never had to think about the questions you've raised.

Can the school not advise you? I know at ds' school, the pastoral care teachers would be able to provide guidance and there is also at least one teacher who has responsibility for liaising with local colleges and training institutions.
