Hampton 11+ interviews?!?

Hi, did anyone's DS sit the Hampton Boys 11+ recently? Haven't heard anything about interviews yet and feeling a bit disheartened! I know they are doing the academic scholarship interviews this week but the regular interviews are starting from this Saturday. Don't really know anyone whose son sat this so any info would be great!

From the green booklet, I think we get a letter either way this week.

The letter was for this Saturdays interview so I suspect they are sending out daily. Have had to move it to the 23rd though....DS sitting an exam on Saturday!

We have an interview too, letter came today! Was your letter dated 8th or 9th Jan, not sure if our post was slow...?

Hi, we got the letter today for interview on Monday. Can people share some personal experiences about the interviews and what to expect? Also, I read that the Headteacher is meeting with parents at the same time for a Q&A session. Are both mum and dads attending? What type of things are discussed in that session? Any info might be useful. Many thanks!

Last year we sat with the headmaster and he chatted about the school and you could ask questions. I didn’t feel like I was being judged. I went with DH lots had their partner but a few were mums on their own. My son found the interview fine. He did get asked which his favourite school was out of the ones he was doing exams for. They are asked to talk about an object or picture. Good luck.

IME it's mostly for parents to ask questions. I don't think they even register which parent is associated with which child
