Anyone's DC do the Latymer Upper exam today?

My DC found it really hard, particularly the maths. It's unlike him to be so upset, so I'm wondering what others made of it?

Perfectly feasible that these children were from LU, given the location of their sports fields. Not nice for any good school to hear about unruly behaviour from their students, but also unrealistic to not acknowledge that there will always be some that have do not have the ability to conduct themselves well outside of school.

It's how a school deals with kids like these that is key.

I think it might be wise to be sure what school the kids come from before negative comments are made.

It could well be Latymer as their sports fields are just by Hammersmith Hospital. I live near the actual school and have experienced similar awful behaviour from Latymer kids - rude, loud and arrogant. Teenagers whatever kind of school they go to can be awful at times and this goes for elite private schools as much as large comprehensives. So it would not surprise me at all if they were from Latymer

Do people think it was Latymer boys at the Goves' house the other night? Lots of kids from St Mary Abbots do go on to there...

Just a heads up to anyone taking their dc to a Latymer interview tomorrow (Saturday).... best water main on King St near Ravenscourt Park (i.e. at LU level) and massive flooding. Would advise double checking everything tomorrow morning and allowing plenty of time to get there, assuming they don't cancel. It is total chaos.

We had no mains water last night up to midnight when I finally went to bed. Water back with us this morning but I think there is still disruption around King Street....

Just came across this thread and was wondering if any of you have an idea how smart you child has to be to get into Latymer Upper? I like the school but am trying to gage whether I should even bother sending my DD there as it is the first one in a week of full on exams and I don't want to crush her confidence. Academically, she is above average but not the top in her class.
