Anyone know how academic it is? Currently applied to Epsom College and St Johns for Yr 9 but having a ski mad daughter I'm wondering whether we need to look here too with a view to Yr 7 entry...

It is a big school with a broad range of abilities, all of which are catered for. Scholarships are generous. You should definitely have a look there.

Yes Surbiton is great for academics - has a broader range of abilities than say LEH but all girls of whatever level are well catered for and challenged to achieve their best. Great teaching and support, with good extra curriculars e.g. skiing!!

I’ve heard mixed things about Surbiton and certainly wouldn’t choose it just for the skiing. Your dd can join a ski club separately.

Surbiton is an excellent school - my daughter has just left there

Great school. Very polished and really changed over the last 10 years. The old head left in Sept and a new one is coming in Jan but I feel their changes and systems are very embedded and successful so I wouldn't worry about that.
My only concern would be the size - you need the right DD for that larger school.
