Meeting Expectations

DS, Y7, got his first online report. No information in it just states Meeting expectations in all subjects. This is surprising as he has SEN, didn't sit SATS and was always below expectations. Can anyone explain this please?

If he hasn't got any SATs results then he probably hasn't got any computer-generated targets to judge him against which would mess up the usual system. Contact the school for an explanation and for more info.

Surely meeting expectations just means what they expect of that child. So if the child is an A grade student is meeting expectations then they are achieving As. However if the child is a D grade student then they are achieving Ds.
