Is Bryanston a good boarding school for a girl?

I've got continental friends whose daughter wants to apply. They've asked me if it's a good school. I never boarded so I don't really know. I knew a girl that went there but that was 20 years ago and she loved it because it was arty. What's it like now? My friend's daughter is Italian and quite arty and she wants the co-ed boarding school experience. Any other recommendations are welcome!

You need to find out how many weekends are spent in school and how many pupils stay in school. Some schools are are more or less weekly boarding and can empty for weekends. It's also miles from airports unless you can use Exeter or Bristol. Others they could look at might be Rugby, Stowe (good for Art) but one of the best fit art is Heathfield at Ascot. It is girls but the art is supberb and it's proper boarding.
