I went to the open day this evening and loved it. Does anyone know how many applications they receive for the 55 places in year 7? Would love DS1 to go there but seems very unlikely he would ever get a place.

I think it's around 400+ applicants. Do a past search on here - there have been posts on City 11+ in previous years. For what it's worth, we know several boys who obtained places, one was super clever and received a scholarship but the others were just normally bright. I think they place a lot of store on the interviews. The odds are better than you think as most boys are applying for several different schools.
