Summer language schools in Germany for GCSE student

DD1 is doing German for GCSE, and is keen on the idea of spending a week (possibly two) at a language school in Germany next summer. Does anyone have any experience of either Teenagers Abroad or GLS (German Language School, Munich/Berlin)? Any other tips or advice? She'd probably like to do a homestay rather than campus residence.

I did a German course in Berlin years ago, course was fine but the home stay wasn't so great. A young woman in a flat share had been paid a small amount whilst she was away (a tiny amount compared to what I had paid) and I got to stay with her flatmate. Her flatmate was being paid nothing and wasn't too impressed which I could understand. She wasn't nasty but not exactly friendly and also there were some very explicit photos in the room which shocked me as I was young. Confused A week was more than enough for me but depends on the child.
