What is Benenden like pastorally and academically? Does anyone have any experience of the school? Thanks.

excellent on both counts - it is a very friendly school and the girls seem to be very supportive of each other and the younger years - i only hear good things about all the House Masters / the head is v impressive and has very good engagement with the girls / they are stretched academically too

We recently went to visit and above the academic and sporting achievements, what we were most impressed about was the friendly atmosphere. The girls seemed genuinely happy and relaxed.
They didn't seem 'coached' on how to make a good impression on a school tour. They were completely honest and open about their views of the school which we really appreciated
I guess that'll relate to good pastoral care. In all we thought it was an amazing and happy place

I used to attend benenden. It was absolutely amazing! They help every girl do the best they can and have a wide range of extra curricular activities. Clc is about 50% international and very snobbish. Benenden is academic without being pushy like Wycombe. The school has a great feeling, whereas schools like downe, Wycombe and clc have a depressing atmosphere

Cheltenham is just inferior and bitchy compared to Benenden. Lovely environment and ethos.
